INTERACTIVE DEMO STRATEGY
Before you buy an interactive demo tool, build the plan that makes it work.
Interactive demo platforms make demos easier to create. They don't tell you what to build, who it's for, where it belongs in your buyer journey, or how to keep it current.
Get the plan right first, then use whichever platform fits.
About the Session
A great demo tool can still produce a bad demo system.
Interactive demo platforms are powerful. But without a clear plan, it's easy to start building demos because Sales asks for one, Marketing needs one, or a new feature has just shipped.
Before long, you've got more demos, but not necessarily a better buyer journey.

This might sound familiar if..
- Different teams are building their own demos
- Nobody is quite sure which demo should be used when
- Product changes faster than the demo library
- Pre-sales still repeats the same overview again and again
- Buyers receive plenty of content, but nothing designed to help them move to the next decision.
Before you build another demo, answer four questions.
- Who is it for? Define the buyer, the use case and the question this demo needs to answer
- When should they see it? Decide where it belongs in the buyer journey, before Sales, during evaluation, after the live demo or later in the deal
- What should the demo actually do? Show the right experience for that moment, rather than turning every demo into another product tour
- What happens after it's built? Decide who owns it, how it stays current and how you'll know whether it's actually helping deals move.

Interactive demos with higher satisfaction and conversion rates
"Newer buyers are more interested in doing discovery themselves. They get a real feeling of the product you're trying to get them to buy, because they're really experiencing the UI they'd use in real life."
