There are two types of marketers: those who fear marketing automation platforms and those who embrace them.

The following three laws shall govern all automated marketing technologies:

- A marketing automation platform must obey the orders given to it by marketer beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law.
- A marketing automation platform must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second laws.
